I saw an atricle on them a few years ago and am going off of my failing memory. never seen both cars in person one interesting point is that years ago I heard a rumor from a relative (that used to work for FORD back then) that they made a boss9 shelby. I spent years trying to quietly find a boss9 shelby with no luck. later when I heard about the qtr horse, I put 2+2 together
Reference a post on the Boss 302 Registry board: "finally found the magazine from which the article was from.Musclecar Review January 2000.The article states two Mustang quarter horses were made, both at Kar Kraft. One grabber blue w/white interior the other candy apple red w/ white interior. The blue one w/boss 429 the red w/429 thunder jet. The exterior differences were Shelby fiberglass front fenders and hood, but the hood had the air ducts molded in.The grille had a large running horse in the middle."
