Whats up everyone? Im Drew. I currently do not own a shelby, per say, but i am cloning my 07 GT into a gt500 slowly. I have the entire shelby conversion besides a roush spoiler (long story on why i dont want to change it), Trufiber venom 1 hood and a few other appearance goodies. My 3v is procharged and cammed right now making 489 at the rear wheels. However, 3v 4.6's are not in the new gt500s, so i am on a search to find a gt500 5.4 4v. If i do not find a used one im just going to piece one together seeing that CJ pony parts has pretty much everything to build one right on their sight, and it has forged internals.

Right now, i have a tr6060 with 1 piece driveshaft, full manual pedal assembly, upper and lower shift boot, pro 5.0 shifter, and shelby shift knob waiting to go in. I also have all of the other parts to do a manual swap since my car is currently automatic.

Once i get a 5.4 and put it in, along with the trans, im going to stick a upgraded blower, (either between the KB 2.8h, or 3.6LC, have to research more). Once that is done i also hope to somehow have Carroll Shelby give me a shelby vin or something to signify its a gt500 since im doing everything according to what a stock gt500 has with upgrades.

Please also note one more thing, i am young, and i tend to say stupid stuff. Just a fair warning. :thumbdown<_<

Yeah the vin thing isnt going to happen....Also I would be very careful along those lines as you may end up violating some federal laws(and unless you enjoy living in a very small room that is never a good thing)As far as the motor you shoulnt have too much trouble there as ALOT of these cars have been wrecked(too much power/ego not enough experience)Check ebay Ive seen alot of them on there...Sounds like you are going to have a VERY cool car when youre done!!!Have fun!!!(thats kind of the point) Trent:thumbup::thumbup:

I heard of someone doing something like that but if its illegal then im not gna worry about it at all and ill consider it a gt500 in my own mind! Haha. Anyway, where would i go about finding a wrecked gt500?! i looked on co-part and only found one but the motor was no where near salvageable

Ive definitely seen them on ebay....Maybe craigslist or you might try large auto salvage companies...Best case scenario you find one that was wrapped around a tree or something...That way the front would likely be largely intact and you would know it was at least running at the time!!!!!:thumbup::lol::thumbup:Trent

i was thinking of just buying that, and yes i know the price, but i like to go for stuff thats not used due to personal experience. I plan on calling them to see if i can buy it without the blower to save a little bit of money and just upgrade right away.

That motor comes with forged internals right? Not sure if im reading correctly. If so ill just crank up the boost accordingly along with fuel mods.

Would my gt500 fuel system hold up to 700rwhp or do i have to upgrade again? Ik my 60lbs wont get me there so id have to go 80s, or biggeR?
