biggest tire on a 67 shelby gt 350

    hey i am wondering what is the widest tire i can get on the back of a 67 gt 350 with no modifications to the body or frame.

    Well, you didn't mention what wheels. There may be a difference in the backspacing. Having said that, with Magstars a F60 X 15 will fit. Very slight rubbing on the front fender lip in certain driving situations. F60 X 15? Yeah, that was a long time ago.

    In radials, I wouldn't go any bigger than 205s.

    I run 245/60's on the rear with 10 spokes, 235/60's on the front. On a lowered car.

    i have 15in american racing pro mag wheels. and i have 265 on right now i am just wondering if i can go bigger. it looks like i have lots of space under the wheel wells.

    you can go bigger. but the look you looking for is best achieved by simply riding a jackass buck naked down main street. That way your car is spared the embarrassment.

    not going for looks. going for traction. my lowered 67 shelby gt 350 doesnt have much weight transfer

    You looking for straight line (drag racing) type traction or cornering ability? Both can be achieved with other parts using your exist tires or better quality tires.

    the car is set up for handling but i wanted bigger tires to improve handling and strait line traction.
