    just bought my first shelby GT500 wow you truely can have it all

    getting grinding going into 2nd when im above 4500 rpm does anybody eles have this problem::thumbsup:

    Congrats on the new Shelby - 2011 and grinding just in 2nd? Spoken to the dealer?

    yea just in 2nd and only when im on it.sometimes it wont go in at all.talked to dealer car gets looked at this weekend.ive read alittle about the GT500 this seems to be a problem with them.

    Sounds like a blocking ring in a syncronizer... Not Good!!!! many of the old Borg warner transmissions had this happen.. just a fracture..but they open up at high RPM and prevent shifting... grinding comes from trying to force the shift... very annoying.... it will require you to rebuild the entire transmission unfortunately..     nobody understands better than a guy who has been driving mustangs the better part of 30 years, but for this kind of money you think they would have worked this out.the cars got less than 1100 miles on it.got the SVT package thinking i wouldnt have these types of problems.

    I was just giving this a little more thought... with the newer cars having hydraulic clutches theres a chance the clutch does not fully disengauge since its happening at high rpm. Those older cars did,nt have cables, hoses, slave cylinders to operate the clutch so before you make them tear down that trans ..might check this idea out. hopefully a small adjustment can be made

    thats good insight just dropped the car off and talked about checking everything on the outside before they started tearing into it.thanks.

    dos anybody know the part # for the airbag cover on thr right side for a 2011 gt500.i can atleast send it away and get it signed while my cars in the shop.thanks
