Would not classify it as a "great" car but a pretty one But just another opinion. This perticular sale didn't hurt the auction company either since it was one of Drew's last restorations...... ego boost at least. Drew always did do pretty cars if nothing else.

Don't think anyone really saw this price coming

I think it is a great car, missing some little details but easily fixed. Not
many 2 digit cars getting sold, so, if you want one I guess you buy the best
you can find, right?
I'd rather have the original metal and drivetrain than an original tach,
etc. JMHO.

Again, the point everybody is missing is that the new owner loves the car.
That is all that matters. He is not a "stool checker" and doesn't care about
date coded valve stem caps. LOL

I predicted 250-300k for this car, they have been selling for that
privately, bound to happen at auction sooner or later.
