Hi, I'm Steve Bunnell and new to the forum. I live in Milpitas Ca. I own 1966 GT350 # 6S1232. The car is white and blue but is supposed to be painted Raven Black with no stripes. I plan on changing the car back to original. Milpitas is the location of the San Jose Ford plant. It is two miles from my home. It is now a shopping mall. Thanks for having this forum to share stories and tech stuff. Steve
Hi Jeff, I've seen your name on some of the forums. That's cool that our cars are so close. Mine was sold at S&C Ford in SF. Is your car a Hertz? My number is surrounded by Hertz cars but ended up solid black with no stripes. It's a decent driver but needs restoration. I just bought a original intake from Jim Cowles. Now I need the scarce 1966 Autolite 600 Auto carb. Steve
NO though it was built in the middle of a Hertz group at Shelby its a non-Hertz blue automatic Ours was resold used (as your was) through S& C also after being returned from Dana Chev (Peyton Cramer) duty
Shelby colors I've always liked the Blue cars. I have the Shelby stored at my friend Jim Curylos. he was showing me the concourse forum that you have been working on. I have a few contacts that worked at the San Jose plant One was a worker when our cars were built. the other was a driver for Hadley trucking. He used to deliver our cars to LA. He called the run the "Gravy train run" I will give them a call if you want. Steve
Re: Shelby colors Would like to talk or sit down with the delivery guy as well as the other worker - send me an email and we'll "talk" about buying them lunch one day after the holidays
