My understanding is that the Faria oil pressure gauge used a standard issue FoMoCo sending unit. If that's correct, is there any particular one I should be looking for? Or was it the same as used on a regular Mustang? For the moment I'm concerned about function, not concours-correct markings. Thanks Doug
Yes the sender is the standard Mustang sender used on cars equipped with oil pressure gauges instead of idiot lights. the idiot light senders looked like small buttons. The correct 69/70 Shelby is bell shaped unit and the one that came on the 69's was identified by having FOMOCO in block letters in a rectangle instead of the Ford or FOMOCO in script in the oval like what was used on 66 GT350's.The bell senders are zinc di chromate gold in color.
