Bit by bit I'm getting this car assembled...always a challenge when someone else has disassembled it....heh heh

Anyhow, take a peek at the pic. I found these little aluminum blocks on the floor. Do they really belong somewhere on the car? They don't look very "automotive-ish" to me.

I was a bit surpised to fnd that the floor was not drilled for all the console screws. On each side there are some possible screw locations but no corresponding holes in the body. And the right side kick panel takes 3 screws but only two were drilled. I've looked and looked ....really, I have....and cleaned right down to bare metal. Has anyonene seen this sort of thing before?

    Cheers and thanks
    Doug

PS--the t/signal flasher is in the picture just for size reference

The aluminum spacers are part of the bracket that holds the steering column. The console screw holes are not drilled but punched so as to form a cone shape hole to give more surface bit for the screw to hold on to. Deviations from the accepted build instructions happen from time to time . Bob
