How about a change of pace. All this talk about big bucks, remember all the to do over the going prices for the new Ford GT? $200 K + etc. Check out the August 29, 2005 Autoweek. Pg. 20 - 21 has an autofile on the 2005 version. The base price including delivery is $153,345. As Tested is $158,095. OWNERS PAID' AVERAGE $156,595 to $177,350. Owners also considered the BMW M-5, Porsche 911 Turbo, and Ferrari 360 Modena. Only real problem I have with the autofile is comparing it to a Porsche GT-2. That's evidently the only thing they could find that beats this beast in a couple of areas. Although having one would be neat, I'll wait for the 07 GT-500 as an all round driver. SEE YA LEE M
Lee: I raced a Porsche GT-2 in my 67-500 (427 dual carb tunnel wedge, Shelby ALum heads and big roller cam with 4 speed) blue car. I had him beat in the begining until I got passed 90 MPHs. 4:10 gears ain't worth crap on the top end. hahaha. I have to say though, it felt weird racing a Porche. All I heard was this whining and the rear end squating like it was ready to jump. Very different. jon Quoting lmathias@bellsouth.net: - How about a change of pace.
