i have a ? about decoding carbs.i bought a car thats suppose to have a 66 shelby engine.how do i determine that.it does have a cobra oil pan but that could be added to any engine. it has 2x4 carbs with the tags that read c60 aaa and c60 aba.on the choke list no.3360A 3361b 9510.the intake has fomoco under front carb. any help appreciated.
Carbs are an over the counter 470cfm item for the Ford dual quad, again over the counter 2X4 intake. Get us the casting numbers off the engine block, heads (left and right), crank pulley, and water pump. We can then go from there.
thanks mr m. i was just curious bout them carbs. i cant c the other no. on the block.its probably nothing anyway. u no how ppl. are.tell u anything.i did get a no under the valve cover tho. there is a 65 and 289 and4d24.it does have screw in studs on rockers to.i read on another that means 289 hp.ifn i ever have to remove the engine maybe i can see the other nos. anyways thanks again.whats would be a good price on the intake and carbs. they work good.
