IMHO - I think Ford needs to get this emblem back on the show car(s) pronto and keep it there for the production run. People purchasing these cars want them to be differentiated from a regular Mustang or Mustang GT, so it's time to replace that other Pony badge and get a Cobra one on there like in the original prototype show car.
You would have a hard time finding anyone disagreeing with you. The GT500 needs to have a Shelby identity. The Ford and SVT badging are the ones that should be eliminated. robin
Yep, and this should be on the quarters And if they can't do SHELBY across the back, it should look like this
I strongly agree with all of you. The over all problem is getting Ford , SVT, to understand and LISTEN to the consumer. SVT is very secretive and building the car the way "they" want it. After calling them a few weeks ago, I was less informed after the call than before. How do we get them to listen to us? Any ideas?????????
We can sure do some talking, as long a SVT gets off their duffs and they read them. More than reading, listen to the majority of the writers, even send out internet surveys as to suggested design concepts of the body, placement of letters and names ect. SVT may be suprised at the reaponse. Most all of us agree that the RED car is the best design, so stay with it.
When I had my 68 GT500, I prided myself on the fact that FORD and MUSTANG were nowhere on the Car. Other than the little Horse on the High Beam indicator on the Dash, it was all SHELBY!
This was a Big Reason for my Decision to put a Deposit Down on a Shelby and wait Over a Year for The Real Thing!! Keep it on!!! It's All about Identity , Being Different...... Yet Recognized B)
Nope. Word on the street is that Ford is planning on revealing the final product in 128 days at the 2006 Detroit International Auto Show. I can’t hardly wait, so for now I'm going to hang out on the Internet as a guitar playing smilie
OK, guess that's about all we can do. Just hope SVT reads these messages and gets the hint. Think the Detroit Auto Show will be televised?
It all sounds nice, but SVT won't put to much Shelby stuff the car. It is an SVT product not Shelby's.
I too would like them to stick with the red car design. I seen that one at the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA . They also were giving out posters of the car. It would be strange to me to have them promote the car that way and then change it. Hope we will find someone with the inside info to let us know what there plans are.
