I've been thinking of a '09 GT500KR... Then I saw all the posts about the clutch issues......I have had several collectables over the years..... and they all have some gremlens.... is the clutch issue really a problem on all or most of the cars? Is it usually covered under warranty?.....P.S...... I'm looking for car # 319 or #329
Welcome. Yes clutch issues "maybe" found on KR's but not known as a deal breaker cause the Dealer should pick up the cost (although, some fighting for it may be necessary). Most KR's don't have the miles on them to really see if the clutch issue is affecting them like the GT500's. Please visit teamshelbydotcom for more info on such.
The clutch issue is nothing compared to the cost of replacing the hood on the '09 KR. Should set you back around $10,000!!!!!!!!!!
I thought I read somewhere that Ford/Shelby lowed the cost of the hood to around $4000.00. I think the insurance companies made a stink. At $4 K its still crazy.
