Hello all, First post. I have a 2009 GT500KR and have wheel hop problems. Will different tires have any effect or do I need to get new control arms? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have an 09 KR and experienced wheel hop also. I changed UCA and LCA's with BMR products and no more wheel hop.
Haven't had mine out much, but I would give it "MORE" throttle!!!!! That would spin the tire to the point of smoke em...... Could you tell me more about your KR? Pictures?
I have done quite a few mods to my KR. I saved all take offs in case I want to go back to stock. I noticed wheel hop right off the bat in these cars. I got used to it and decided to upgrade to adjustable UCA, LCA's and adjustable panhard bar. I went with SPP (Shelby Performance Parts) by BMR. My wheel hop disappeared. My KR also has an additonal 150+ RWHP as I installed a Stage III 2.8 Kenne Bell supercharger set-up along with cooling mods, 1-piece DS and front brakes. Not too many of us KR owners would do this but I respect the Shelby horsepower. Pictures attached:
