Has anyone clear bra'ed their GT500? I'm thinking about doing it but wanted your opinion for those who have done it or have thought of doing it. Can anyone show me pics of what it looks like?

I don't think there is a lot of traffic on this part of the site. Seems to be focused into the older Shelbys.

Google the clear bras and look for some forum chatter - it seems like most think it's a no brainer but they suggest you have a pro do it. Just bought my 09 a few days ago and I think I am going to have it done.

Dallas Mustang here in Dallas wants $1k+ to put on the 3M brand...

To be fair I believe it is full coverage - well, sorta. It's on their site but it's a lot more than just a nose piece. Has fenders, rockers I believe, door edges, spoiler edge..I dunno - plus it is installed and guaranteed - and they do bang up work...

Also saw DIY kits for $400.

I dunno - didn't seem too bad installed and all... but I am so new at all this that I am sure there are people way more knowledgeable than I who could give better insite - I'd love to chat with someone who has had it done - a year or so ago...

    rshelby -

I am in awe of your 350 pix. How fun was that with the old and new 350s around the Vegas Speedway.

Thanks for sharing - way cool

Hey Power ...I have the film on my 08 GT500...my 06 GT and my wife has it on her 09 Pony car...I simply would NOT drive my cars without it!! I treat it like the regular finish..what ever goes on the paint..goes on the film...It hasnt yellowed and only gets glossier with time...and I have no sand or rock damage any impacts simply wipe off with a little detailer...

Did many new Superformance Cobras/Daytonas/GT40s for my customers and had no issues with the 3M brand. You couldn't see it unless you were looking, but in my opinion, it's best applied by someone who does automobiles for a living. Used to be a few hundred bucks, $1k sounds ridiculous.
