Mine was shipped to a local truck terminal. I picked it up on my open car trailer. I live in the country and was able to borrow a forklift from a friend. I think I got it together in one afternoon with one helper. If you have access to a forklift you can do it yourself but it would be tough without some way of lifting the heavy stuff. I had mine made about a foot taller than normal. The ramps are at 7' when fully lifted. I was planning on having a mezanine and rolling cars off the hoist onto the mezanine but I ended up with the mezanine at about 10'. I also opted for the 220 volt motor as it speeds up the lifting process.. -Charley 67 # 544
