So I bought the reproduction choke tubes for this motor and they don't seem to be close to right I'm gonna have to modify them I can see. Does anyone have a picture of a motor with them on before they put it in the car so I can see how they are suppose to be routed?

Thanks a bunch you guys have been a lot of help so far with this project!

I have had the same problem the current repops are not right the tube for the carb. is not even long enough to clear the valve cover if rebent to clear is is then to short to screw into carb. You will need to make your own to get a nice fit.

They are different than the regular 390 or CJ ones. The Shelby ones are designed to clear the tall covers but you will still have some rework to do

Yeah I got the tall ones from Mansfield and it says 428pi for tall valve covers but we compared them with 390 exhaust manifolds to 428cj manifolds and they seem like they would work fine with the CJ manifolds and are not even close for the 390 ones! So we are probably just going to make our own but we would like a picture to see how they route so it looks right but if no one has a pic we will just do are best! Or a simple answer to do they go around the back of the valve cover or over the top?

    Looks awesome!

Just one question? How come you didnt paint the intake or the pcv hose? Both were originally blue.
