I don't have any driving shoes so I couldn't really comment on them but I will say that I do have a preference of shoe when driving certain cars. I have a pair of shoes that are fairly snug and low profile, I guess you could say. The deal is, I wear size 12 1/2 shoes so my feet are pretty big to begin with and if I put a big clunky shoe on they definitely don't fit in the small footwell of the 289 Cobra. The 427 is also tight but really I just find it easier to drive any stick shift wearing a smaller kind of shoe. I guess I would just say, drive in whatever is comfortable for you. B)

Driving shoes are probably usefull if your doing a lot of heel-toe shifting. I am not good at this art so I've never bought a set.

It would take a set of "Magic" driving shoes to improve my hamfisted driving practices.

Driving shoes are designed to avoid "catching" on carpets, mats, pedals, etc. They have contured heels and toes as well as narrow, grippy soles. They work much better than the average running shoes. Try a set, you'll be amazed at the improvement. Piloti makes a variety of styles that can also be worn for everyday use.

I use them on the track events but not for the street.

When I drive this car around the track...

They do not hang up on the pedals like my street show do.
