  2. The true way is to contact the seller and ask a bunch of questions that
are verifiable from the pictures and something that Shelby owners would
know. I admit this auction is obviously not a scam, but one that looks
suspicious. If I were intererested I would be in close contact with the
seller. But I will tell you the 30,000$ handwritten on the pictures really
make me suspicious. Would you use that picture to sell your car with a
reserve >$75,000. The use of the $ after the amount tends to imply to me
that it was done by someone overseas. We always write $30,000. Sellers
overseas get extra scrutiny. If the seller responds to your questions,
read them very close for proper english (typical mistake of the African
scammers). I also think that most serious sellers trying to get major $$'s
for the car would remove the EAK and EAT stickers. There are several
places in the text where there is no space after the period (a typical
mistake again from the African scammers).

Am I positive it is a scam??? No... but I would have to do extra scrutiny
if I were to buy the car.

Get the serial # and call SAAC or Stephen and see who really owns it and
see if it matches the person you are dealing with.

FYI, the license plate is an fake copy used for show purposes only on
this car. I have actual "GT500KR" Idaho plates like these that I had
registered on my white KR, but they are on my garage wall now since I
sold it. The owner of this KR had the fake plate custom built for his car.

Other than the $30,000 scribbled on the first picture, the pictures I
believe are correct for this actual car, but this listing is a scam as
the second owner still owns this car.

Doesn't the car in question have only 6,000 original miles, not 65,000? I
thought that I was familiar with this car, also.

Ken, you are right, this KR does have about 6500 original miles on it.
I missed that error in the listing. It still has the original bias ply
tires on it as well. I was shocked a couple years ago when the owner
drove it about 300 miles round-trip to attend our annual Mustang show in
    Boise!
