    Hi Jim!
Yep... Different story in terms of cost. Also we have to look at potential usage. I can't even fit in a Ford GT. So think about the guys who would like one who can't even fit in the damn thing. You can't easily park it anywhere unless you make sure nothing is on either side of the vehicle. It is a market un to its own. The new Shelby GT500 completely different. You'll have the usage, style and performance not to mention you can actually own one in terms of cost. These will get snapped up fairly quickly in my view. There is a broader range of enthusiast for this car. Current original Shelby owners, Mustang heads and performance junkies not to mention the sweet little P.A who wants to kick some but on the roads turning all the boys heads. Different car, different market completely. I don't think the dealers will want to play the same games with the New Shelby. I think they will only be too happy to have a vehicle they can sell and sell quickly.

    Regards

    Randall

The dealer needs to be disillusioned first. Until the dealer figures out that he won't get list price and above for the car I doubt you'll budge them off their position. Just got a call from our hometown Ford dealer here in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. They finally got a Ford GT in. I asked for the details including the price. Now get this: the salesperson says that there is no price but the sales manager has told them to tell their potential customers that they are: "accepting bids and it's going on eBay", she exclaimed. I told her that that is why I lost interest to begin with and that the Ford GT market right now is as soft as Charmin. The exact same thing could happen with the 2007 Shelby G.T.500's.
