    Hi Folks! :)

I`m building up a 65 GT350R Clone and i wonder what was the angle
of the exaust pipes? I´ve seen some coming out about 45 degrees,
some others like Rick Kopecs R Model ist allmost 90 degrees.
Here is a drawing of my exaust pipe, this is the part after the cherry
bombs. Do you think the angle is ok??

On the picture you see my favorite R Clone and i hope this is pretty much
like original. Tube diameter is 2.5" i thought 2 1/4" might be a bit small?

    Thanks for your replies guys

    Bye Jerry

You are correct. They had a less than a 90 degree angle to them. I know I have seen a drawing in a old "Shelby American". Older than number 48 I'm sure. Give me a couple of days to look it up.

    Hi roddster

So you mean i`m ok with the 95 degree angle?
I think they had originally 2 1/4" pipes on or am i wrong?
Well i allready told my friend to make it in 2 1/2" so it`s too late anyway.
I would be very thankfull for your opinion about the angle,
if it`s ok or if you think it`s too sharp.

    Thank you very much

    Bye bye from germany
    Jerry

No, it's somewhere between a 45 and a 60 degree angle, depending on the length of the glass pack, but I don't have time to look this up in my stack of old Shelby-Americans. And, seems you have already moved the project along...
