After a few setbacks, the 1969 GT350 that I purchased two months ago is now fully road worthy. There are still a couple of kinks to work out, and for the first time since I bought the car I was able to drive it. The last time I had driven the car was a short "test drive" over three years ago. The car had a pretty extensive mechanical restoration, except for a strong running engine already. Completely new front end (lowered 1"), new tires, fresh brakes, steering, and suspension, resealing the transmission and rear end, and all new hoses (power steering, brake, cooling and heater). The last time the car appeared ready to be placed on the road, the heater core blew. Created a bit of a mess and a set back of several days. As always there are a few things that will be needed to be done, especially detailing under the hood. I am just happy to finally drive the car around this weekend. I started referring to the car as a figment (of my imagination), as everytime I thought the car would be ready to drive, a delay or the car needed something else. The car is now at home sitting next to my 1966 GT 350H. It's nice when reality hits. As a song from a small midwest group that I like from many years ago says "I believe in dreams you can touch with your hands." Lee 66 # 869 69 # 2055
