...was there an option for the '67 and/or '68 Shelby GT's that included the '67/'68 Mercury Cougar dash pad and the XR7 instrument cluster & dash panels? If I'm not crazy, (at least not about this...) was the Mustang's speedo/tach incorporated into it? The XR7's speedo/tach stopped at 120/6K. Thanks in advance, Catatonic
OK...I guess I'll just have to accept the fact that I am, but I got to thinking about where I heard it from. As I reacall it was a guy at a car show admiring some Cougars. He and I got to talking about Shelby Motors affiliation with the Cougar. It was he, a '67 or '68 Shelby owner, that brought up this supposed "not widely" known option.
67's used cougar taillights and 69's used cougar councils. Other than that I've never heard of anything else.
