    I've owned mine since 79 (69GT350) and the other one (68GT500) since 91 and my Cobra 427 kit since 94, time for another one!!!!

    I bought my 1968 GT500KR in 1978, at that time I paid $2000.00, the car was complete down to the thermactor and air breather. The car is a rare 4 speed with factory air.

    Since January 30th of 1971. I was pulled over by the cops one half hour after the purchase. OK, no plates that was all.

    I had mine (1968 Gt 500 KR) for 12 years! That's way too long to own a car (for me anyway). I sold it about 2 years ago for a Boss 302. I'll play with the Boss for another year of so then move on.

    Bought a 1968 GT350 in 1972 had to sell in 1974
    FINALLY Got another in Feb of 2004 :thumbsup:

    Curious as to how long everyone has owned their Shelby?
    I have had mine since Aug. 1972. 67 GT 500 # 2944. Nightmist Blue , C6,
    Put in a Stroked 427 Tunnel Port(454) with 4:11 Detroit Locker .
    One guy in our club WASAAC.org, bought his NEW!!!!!

    I owned my first Shelby, a 69 GT350, for about a year and a half. I sold it to buy a 70 Boss 302. I liked the Boss, but wanted another Shelby, so I sold that after about a year, and bought a 67 GT350, #2090. I owned that from July of 1980 until July of 1991, when I sold it. A couple of years later, I bought an 86 Shelby Charger, which I had for a couple of years. Currently, I am "Shelbyless".... :(

    I bought the Dragonsnake in 1967, probably before most members of this forum were eligible to drive. And, no, that doesn't make me old enough to start thinking about handing in my license.
