Hello One and all. I have faith that this forum will be a success. It has been a long time coming. Randall, I commend you on this effort and will be here for the duration. I am 41 years old and a Lifelong FORD and SHELBY guy. I just Sold my 1968 GT500#1428 to purchase a used CSX4000 series COBRA. I just pulled both deals off last Saturday and while there is Remorse in saying goodbye to the GT500, there is much joy in the COBRA! I live life the way I want to and after a lot of research and a visit to the Las Vegas SHELBY facility in 2002, I just had to have one. as the Value on my GT500 rose, I started searching for my COBRA. I talked with the owner for almost a year and when the price of my Car hit high enough, I was able to let it go and add some Bucks to that pile and get into my next Dream Machine. It had to be a CSX! I am not a snob, I appreciate other replicas for what they are. But I am a SHELBY loyalist. I could not Sell a Shelby and not get another one! so that is my Brief story for now. I look forward to chatting with you all and welcome you to have a look at my website. www.tattoosbyrc.com

    Welcome to ShelbyForums daltondavid!

Post some photos of your old 1968 GT500#1428 or better yet your new CSX4000. Congratulations on your new Cobra. I bet it was still tough to see the GT500 go but sitting behind the wheel of the Cobra should ease the pain....or eliminate the pain completely.
