I bought these caps in 1978 from Branda Mustang, I am trying to find out if they are repros or original. They are plastic, they came in a Ford box and attaching hardware. There are know numbers on the caps and the decals are silver on the back. I would like to know how I can find out about these caps. I sold on ebay and they were sent back saying they are not original, when I contacted Branda Mustang he said if they are plastic they are original. So any help I can get would be appreciated.

New, Ford made and packaged, magnum centers I bought about the same time you did were also plastic. The only metal centers I've ever encountered for magnums were for the over-counter / Chrysler / Mustang / Torino wheels.

Did this buyer know something lost to the ages? I've been mislead all this time.

Send them to me and I'll make some metal ones on the lathe...
