It started off working at the Dearborn Test Track in the 60's. Pre prepped and drove the first production Mustang just before it was put in Greenfield Village Museum Since then, Hi Po 289/271, 68 390GTA, 01Cobra, 93Fox and just today purchased a 07 Shelby GT
Only lived a few miles from Woodward Ave. We all chip in $1.00 for gas and cruise/race all night. There were tons of kids that Dad's worked at the Big 3. My Dad at the TB/Continental plant. He would pretest the cars so he would bring home Liz Taylor, Author Godfrey, Arnold Palmer, Indy 500 Pace Car etc, etc My buddies had great cars to cruise in 57 Bird, Split Window 63 favorites. There was one car a like a 53 Pontiac all primed, ugly car but, the guys dad was the Pontiac Chief Engr. Had the car all reinforced. They at the time put in an ''experimental 421 Tri Power"". We smoked everything but, amazing how word got out and nobody run for cash after the first weekend.
Very nice... Just a shot in the dark, but do you have any knowledge or know anyone that might know about fuel injected Mustangs/Shelbys 1969 era?? www.thecoralsnake.com
My good friend friend, actually the one mentioned with the 57 Bird, says he has worked on them and very willing to share his knowledge. Below is his e mail. probably go that route first and quite sure ya'll can share phone numbers and converse in more detail. I mentioned you inquired via the Shelby forum so he should respond if you mention you got the e mail from his friend that just got a 07 Shelby GT dkbengineering@gmail.com
