Horn switch on 65/66 GT 350`s?

I am not sure the make of the switch but it is spring loaded when you push
it down the horn blows take your finger off the horn does not blow.

Hi Jerry,
First, the 66 didn't have the horn switch on the dash as did the 65.
The reason was that the 65 had a steering wheel without any
horn switch. 66 used either the Mustang optional wheel or the
Shelby wood wheel both having the horn switch.
In 65, Shelby used several different toggle switches plus as some
people have stated a push button switch. I am not 100 % sure
how each one look but I found an original 65 switch with the
very long black handle that was used in, I believe most 65 cars.
Bought it from Randy DeLisio many years ago and it didn't work
so I got it cheap. Was able to take it apart and fix it myself.
I can take some pictures of it but I don't know how to post it here.

Hi Jerry,
The one in my 65 has a longer handle (activator arm)
than the Lucas one on the picture. Also, mine wasn't made by Lucas
but I don't remember from the top of my head who the
manufacturer was. Don't want to remove it from my 65 but as said
I can take pictures.

I remember reading, I think it was in an old Shelby Marque, that the horn switch was available from, of all places, J C Whitney. This was a few years ago, and they may not list it anymore. It's a momentary, normally off long plastic handle switch.

I remember those comments made by Howard Pardee
in an old "The Marque" GT350 Technical Exchange.
It is probably more than 20 years ago and
I tried to find one from their (J.C. Whitney's) catalog in 1988-89
but they didn't have it anymore. Howard said in the article
that this J.C. horn switch was difficult to separate from the
original. Sad, it doesn't exist anymore.
