Hi my name is Frank and I work at a FORD SVT dealer and I ask them every week about news on the 2007 Shelby and they have not gotten anything but rumours. Has anybody heard about how many will be built?

All we have is rumors to date. A production figure of 5000 to 6000 units has been floated around. It could be higher if demand is there.

These will not be strict limited production cars like the "true" Shelby cars were. Ford will make as many as can be sold.

I think the '60's Shelby Mustangs are only limited production cars in hindsight. They would have made more of them ( especially in '68 to '70 )if the demand had been higher. Even the last years of the Cobra were slow to move off the dealers lot ( what was I thinking in the '60's ??? )

Don't forget the Shelby cars produced between '86 and '90. Or the Series 1 of the late 90's.
All these were limited just due to the fact that they were made by a small Shelby-owned shop.
