1967 Shelby Trans Am Replica

    Well, I mentioned a few times I am building a replica of a 67 Shelby Trans Am race car driven by Jerry Titus. It still has a long way to go but it is just about finished at the paint shop. Here are a few pictures.

    Just track or will it be street legal? What drive train?

    It will probalby see more street action. But nun the less i plan on taking to open track events at willow springs or cal speedway. I have been looking at a road race tremec 5 speed. It has a 9" with 3.89 rear posi unit. The engine is a 347 with solid lifters, alum heads, 9qt road race oil pan with windage tray, with a high-rise Cobra Intake. I have TCP front suspension and rack set-up. 4 wheel disc brakes, and a lot of other goodies.

    Very sweet car and nice to see a different approach to reviving other Shelby products! :guitar: :thumbup:
