I'll be needing to replace the F1 rear tires soon. What tires do you find deliver the best traction under power?
Moderate the use of your accelerator pedal (yes, seriously) As far as a replacement for your current 275/35ZR18's, I've heard good things about the PILOT SPORT PS2 ZP by Michelin
The F1 compound takes a while longer to get warmed up but F1 tires are great once they get warmed up. I'm not sure you'll find better when the tires are hot, but for daily driving, you will have a lot of cold tire driving...especially in the winter...even if you live as far south as I do. So, good for the track, and high speed cruising but maybe not so good for the average street drive to the office or store. I have heard many positive reviews about the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Much, much better when the tires are not warmed up and still good on the track.
I took the car out yesterday and discovered the magic of warm tires. When I started out, I couldn't get hooked up at all, but after a couple of miles the tires stuck even flooring it in second gear.
I'm tending to the Michelins, but the tread on the front tires is still good. Can I mix Michelins on the back with F1's on the front?
