Greetings to all, I've been on the Allpar forums for a few years, just thought I'd see what's going on here. While I'm not currently a Shelby owner, at least in the "purebred" sense, I do drive an '89 Daytona C/S AGS, TII, one of the 269, and It's a Canadian export (Chrysler) My research has shown that approx. 21 black cars like mine were made, and only a few of them were badged Chryslers. It's showing a bit of age, but is rust free, and overall pretty good shape for the $1,100 bucks I paid for it a year ago, and still makes 13 lbs of boost, according to the less-than-accurate factory guage. I also have an '85 Turbo Z , black w/leather and full load, which I'm currently working on, has a spun rod bearing, but I'll be keeping her out of topics 'cause she's not a shelby either. My plan is to hopefully take the C/S (Bonnie) off the road for a full rotisserie restoration. I'm an experienced bodyman, and have the supplies and know-how, just currently dont have the facilities, and not a lot of spare time. When I do, It's gonna happen. These cars are blast to drive, and have tons of room inside. I think I'll always have Daytonas. Anyhoo...hi to all, hope all the nice cars are tucked away snugly for the winter
