    You got the generic reply from this hoser because:

    A) All he wants is your deposit money and then you'll never hear from him again.

    B) He is so busy answering other people who are trying to buy his make-believe car that he can't keep all the e-mails straight.

    Ask to see the car in person or to get his land-line phone number and see what it will get you?

    Tell him you live in or near Norwalk, CA and that you are ready to come over and pick-up the car and pay the whole amount in cash when you come buy the car and you'll get a reply from him that you must "send" a deposit first.

    Of course the car doesn't exist and soon he won't either. The game is pretty much all the same. They are just fishing for your deposit money.
