If you do a search in E-Bay Motors under passenger vehicles you first choose Vehicle Make (Ford, Packard, GMC, Shelby, ect.) then you choose Vehicle Model. If you choose "Ford" as the Vehicle Make then you have about 34 choices of Vehicle Models under Ford such as Areostar, Bronco II, Fairmont, Falcon, Mustang, Ranger, ect.

If you have a Shelby Mustang Clone then your vehicle should be listed under Ford Mustang and the title should list it as a "Shelby GT350 (or GT500) Mustang Clone" or words to that affect. If you have a real Shelby Mustang then it should be listed as Vehicle Make "Shelby". It should be as simple as that. What's the problem? If you list a Shelby clone or Kit Car Cobra under Vehicle Make as "Shelby" when that is wrong and it should be relisted correctly under the correct Vehicle Make. I don't understand what else would need to be done?

When I go into E-Bay Motors I look under all vehicles and just use the search word of "Shelby" and I see whatever comes up. I also search under all vehicles and will use just the search word "race" and look for interesting race cars. I bought a nice 1967 Cougar road race car and a nice 1970 Mustang road race car that way. If I had one I'd love to list my own Shelby Clone up on E-Bay under Ford and Mustang with the word Shelby in the title line along with Clone, Restomod, or Recreation in the title and see Shelby Enterprises object to it.I'd go toe to toe with them and E-Bay in court if they wanted to pull my ad. I'd still like to know what the full story is?

It did bother me to specifically look up the Vehicle Make as "Shelby" and to find mainly Shelby Mustang clones and Kit Car Cobras there. Finding a few odd Shelby Chargers, Durangos and other Shelby Chryslers there, but it didn't bother me since there are usually so few of those vehicles listed under there anyway.

If you have a clone of a Shelby Mustang it is a modified Mustang and it should be listed as a Ford Mustang. I also see no issue with the title line using the word Shelby as long as the car is clearly presented as a modified Mustang and not a real Shelby Mustang. That's my opinion. Your mileage may vary depending on weather and road conditions. Just don't get over inflated about it!

    - There is a big difference between a company selling kit car Cobras and a
    - single person selling a "clone" of a 1965-1970 Shelby Mustang that they personally
    - own. If someone creates a clone 1970 Boss 302 Mustang should Ford go after
    - them for sell it too? What's next, Shelby Enterprises stopping people from
    - painting LeMans stripes on any 1965-2005 Mustang? I think it is E-Bay that needs to
    - set some standards. I think that all kit car Cobras need to be in the "Kit
    - Car" section of E-Bay, that real Shelby Mustangs and Shelby Cobras be in the
    - "Shelby" section of E-Bay and that all other Mustangs cars be listed as Ford
    - Mustangs.
    -
    - I think we need to get the real story behind all this. If Shelby Enterprises
    - doesn't want people making and selling Shelby Mustang clones then they need to
    - stop the people selling the parts that make them.
    -
    - I don't think we are getting the whole story here.
