A situation.....I have a 1966 Shelby American Catalog that advertises every part needed to create a GT 350. Back in the day, you could pick up a really nice, used Mustang 2+2. OK, I built an R model replica with the parts from the Shelby catalog. Now I want to sell it. I advertise "1966 Mustang, looks and runs like a GT 350 R-model." e-Bay will shut me down? Shelby sold these parts so we could modify our stock Mustangs to replicate the awsome GT 350's.....and a lot of folks did. About the Cobra, Ford ownes the name but Shelby is trying to have the shape of the car copywrited. Can he copywrite the shape of the Mustang GT 350? It sure looks like a Mustang 2+2 to me. Fortunately people creating fake ones, to scam innocent buyers into believing they are real, can be ferreted out with SAAC records. I agree, we need to see the actual documentation e-Bay is using to pull these ads, the whole story as it were......
