    :blink: Have (2) 66 GT350's (6S745 & 6S1962) and one 67 GT500 (#1736 w/25k miles). I would love to post pictures, but need some help. Let me know if someone can help.

    #1263 owned since 1985 traded a 1983 GT for it.

    1966 GT-350H, 4-speed, Paxton. 6S559

    "Thermactor" is Ford's name for an air injection pump or "smog pump." The idea was to pump air (21% oxygen) at the exhaust just after it leaves the engine. The added oxygen helps "after burn" CO and HC emissions (kind of like blowing on hot charcoal). They usually absorb less than 5 horsepower and heat up the exhaust temperature considerably. They were mostly used on California cars in the early emission control days. They work especially well with a catalytic converter (in reducing emissions).

    Sorry for the admittedly simplified answer, but you get the idea.

    Currently I have two Shelbys to care for. The first is a 1966 GT350, a
    carryover car #6S188. The second car is a 1967 GT350, #1688.

    I guess I had not posted in this thread. But here is our car:

    we have owned it since '74. We have probably put more miles on it on an autocross course or open track than it has had on the street in the past 20 or so years. It has run several SAAC open track events along with other track events and the car probably owns more than 100 first place trophies in autocross and Solo II events.
