Very realistic philosophy. I thought that maybe you...

were living in a dream world (well, you are if you're looking for a '65) but that sounds very reasonable. Good luck with your search. I'm trying to find a 1967 G.T.350 myself. Please do me a favor and post it here if you find one. Thanks again and happy hunting.

Run .... don't walk away from the "Symbolic" car.

"... lawsuits ....lost its tag....maybe you can get them to give you the #..."

Price as a 65 shelby clone race ready - any more and you will be sorry.

If the Shelby tag is missing why don't they look on the right fender apron and get the Shelby #

Indeed, I can't believe a dealer with such a high profile as Symbolic can't authenticate this car. They've brokered GT40s, Cobras, 250LMs, and Talbot Lagos, yet can't figure this one out?

    There's a story for sure...and it's short.

"This car is not a real Shelby. The End."

    Red GT350 on Ebay

    http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bigbadboss302/album?.dir=/cc06&.src=ph

This one is on ebay right now. I'm glad there are cars out there that haven't been recently restored...

It doesn't look too bad...definitely needs some TLC. I just can't stomach red/tan.

There must be someone out there with a '65-6 GT350 that was a race car from day one sitting in the back of a garage somewhere. Maybe without its original drivetrain?

BTW-Symbolic confirmed that the car is just a "65 K Code" setup for vintage racing. I'm not sure why they chose to include the confusing explanation on the website ad.

Anyone care to comment on this car? I'm not sure what would be a fair price for it:

    http://www.mershons.com/view_photo.asp?ID=5710&image=Exterior

Also, doesn't a modern 5spd converision typically require a shortened driveshaft and bellhousing? How much of this car was altered to make that conversion work properly?

    Thanks,
    LS

Thanks for the feedback on Mershons. They appear to have a good reputation as far as Shelby cars and Vettes are concerned.

Play it safe and take a Shelby expert with you. I'm...

sure that someone on this board will meet you there for a small fee. Mershon's is honest and reputable and I don't think that they would under any circumstances market a fraud but still it's worth the extra effort and money. Keep in mind that Mershon's will not deal much on Shelby's if at all. You pretty much either buy it or you don't. Good luck. I wish you the best.

One of our SAAC members deals in Shelby cars and seems more realistic in his pricing VS the auctions, his name is Bill Collins and can be reached by phone 717 561 2680 or his web WWW.bcfords.com

He is located in Harrisburg PA, hope this helps.
