When does the 07 Shelby at Barret Jackson

    Does anyone know when the 07 shelby at Barret Jackson bids??

    The first bid was for 250k & It Just sold for.................$600,000.00 Holly Molly Batman!

    Am I misunderstanding this thread? Which '07 Shelby was on the block? The show car? One of the development bucks? From what I've heard there are no production units available for order until next month.

    What I seen & heard on TV was both Carrol Shelby & Edsel Ford were both their at the auction & both hand signed both sunvisors on the Red Show Car.

    The winning bidder gets to order the car with what options they want & in what color they want ( based on current colors for the Shelby in 07) & the hand signed sunvisors that were taken off the red show car will be placed on the winning bidders car when its built & the winner will also get to go to SVT & watch their car be built on the assembly line. (WOW, how cool is that? :thumbsup: ), they also will get a matching color with or without stripes, limited "Shelby GT 500" edition MAC Tool box (1 of 75) with the car.

    Opening bid was 100k & it never went down from their to end at 600k..... just as a side note the 1st Ford GT released to the general public that was auctioned off several years back I think went for only a mere 535k. Sure would be nice to have both of them now wouldn't it?

    It sure would be nice! I hope the proceeds went to Shelby's Foundation.:thumbsup:

    Yes, all the proceeds went to Shelby's foundation, the car was donated by Ford.

    Good deal! But it sure was a lot to pay for the first GT500, donation or not. Hope it does not impact the 'availability' price for the rest of us who are ordering.:thumbdown
