Dear Members: I will be driving to Florida, from Northeast PA, on January 6. Will be visiting the Orlando and Bradenton areas. Would love to visit some mustang shops, see some memorbilia, car cruises, shows, etc. Does anyone have some ideas and suggestions for the trip? Would appreciate information. Thanks, Jim
Jim: A must see is Orlando Mustang in Osteen Florida. Peter Geisler has some interesting projects/finished Mustang/Shelbys around and a ton of parts and 3 or more tons of expertise. Call him at 407-688-1966 and he can guide you to his place in Osteen, just North East of Orlando. Have a great trip and say hello to Pete and Peter. Jim- I second Ron's motion. You probably won't want to leave. Not only will you see Mustang & Shelby cars & parts, but plenty of dogs, cats and horses! I would also suggest looking in Hemming's Motor News for car shows and auto flea markets in that area. As I recall, Webster, FL has a show and flea market once a month. If I'm not mistaken, the Zephyrhills show isn't 'til Feb. There's usually one in the Lakeland area as well. You can stay in FL a full month or so and go to a different show every week-end...and that's what the serious vendors from up North do. And, if you're in the market to buy anything from NPD (National Parts Depot), I think their showroom and warehouse is in the Gainesville area right off the highway.
