My favorite is competition red/competition orange/calypso coral all the same color. The last time i mentioned colors i didn't get it (now i do) !
all 3 Shelby's I have owned including my Current ride have been Wimbledon White with Blue Stripes! Just worked out that way!
I must admit I have never seen a color that looks bad on a shelby. One of my all time favorite (69-70) colors is calypso coral. For the rest I gotta say Red with white lemans.
Depends on the year. Early cars, 65, 66 look best in white. 67 in medium blue, 68 black or lime green. 69, 70 can go with bolder colours as they fit the body style. Grabber orange, Acapulco blue. Bottom line, when it's your car paint it the colour that you want.
Of course it has to be Wimbledon White, the early years all look good that way. (and if it's a 67, NO LeMans stripes either) But other than just the color, I really like those few "pastel grey" (white) 69's with the blue stripes and red interior. And who can forget that one 69 GT 500 that is Playboy Pink, given to the 69' Playmate of the Year??
Navy Blue Mettalic with Artic White Stripes on the Cobra and Bright Red with Artic White on the GT40 and my prize winning Mustang has Torch Red with Gold Stripes along with Cobra accents. I appreciate real, but I have grown to also appreciate accents when they are fun
Well there are several colors that I like. The Nightmist Blue is a fantastic looking color and is one of my favorites on the 67Shelby as Jim mentioned. Love saphire blue on the 66 Shelby and when it comes to Cobra's, Black Silver and of course F1 Red with no stripes.
My definate favorite color is Competition red/Competition orange/Calypso coral. The year is 1969 gt 350.Why? because i just bought one been chasing it for 7 months.Yahoo for me.Now to get that Pantera i have been chasing.
Does everyone know that the white car with the blue stripes were the colors assigned to the American team back in the sixty's? Each country had it's own color designation. Conrad
