The '67 GT 500 project car arrived yesterday. It is nightmist blue with black interior. The interior is suppose to be parchment but was dyed black by a previous owner. It is 99.9% rust free with original paint still on the car.It still has has the Plaza Fiberglas stickers on the underside of the hood and trunk lid.The original motor is partially disassembled and is missing the carbs so if any one has a pair of carbs for sale,I may be interested. This car is #910 and has been sitting in a garage in CA since 1973 and I can't wait to get her back on the road again even though it will take me some time to do so.I will post a pic of the car in the gallery just before it was loaded on the transport in CA.....Greg.
Contact Tony Branda as he had 2 sets of Brand New Holley BJ BK Replacements left. at least he did when I bought my pair. they will run better than any rebuilt Carburetor can as everything is NEW! unless you are doing a Concours Restoration, I would go this route. I still have my originals, but they are not for sale. the Plaza stickers are very cool to still have. if the glue has dried, Photograph them on the car and then gently remove them and put them in your Shelby Scrapbook of Documentation that every smart owner should have or be getting one together. have you registered the car with SAAC yet?
Thanks for the info.I will check with Branda to see if he has any remaining.I have checked VIN's with '67 Shelby registrar but I have not registered in yet.I bought the car from the second owner and he never had it registered either so I will have to provide him with his info also.
