Las Vegas was pretty fun. Carroll was out there for the dinner friday and at the track on saturday for about an hour and a half. The event really centered at the race track, there were many real Shelby's on the track as well as several other Mustangs. On the car show side, there were around twenty cars that made a display on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas and a sunday show of around 50 cars in conjunction with a chilli cookoff at the Shelby facility. The Las Vegas event was a great one. Perfect weather and lots of fun... And just for the record I was driving the red Shelby that didn't hit the fence! (That was maier racing 's car # 53) My car was # 116.... Went through a few gallons of 110 octane fuel.. Carroll looked pretty good and ame by the track on Saturday in some huge international truck painted blue with white stripes. Fremont street was wild. I had one gal actually open up my car door and attempt to get into the car. Then tried to offer me whatever to get into the car...No thanks.. His insurance policy was only three DAYS old when the damage occurred. Fortunately he had a police report to back up his claim, and his insurance paid to have the car fixed--it came out better than when he bought it, so after all the hassles he came out happy in the end.
