I thought the "Stripe Delete" option was for the Lemans Stripes not the Lower Side Stripes....

Well considering there's no lemans stripes for verts it would have to be side stripes wouldn't it?

 

Convertibles do not come with them but it is an Option I do believe that "Stripe Delete" is listed on the Convertibles with a Negetive Price like you see on the Coupes that do not have the Lemans Stripes.

I'm not exactly sure what you just said but to be clear there is a stripe delete on a vert that eliminates the side stripes. Lemans stripes are not an option on verts from factory. On coupes you can delete lemans stripes with or without the side stripes.

 

Why would anyone order it with out the Lower Side Stripes??????

It would be my preferred way of ordering. There are too many lesser cars with the side and Lemans stripes that I feel it is meaningless to have them on.

In my opinion, those vinyl stripes just look cheesy on a $50,000 car.

Sorry, I would always want the Lower Side Stripes, if for nothing else but nostalgia reasons.

I agree they are cheezy vinyl but so were the 65-70 ones. They look too much like a Mustang without them. I'm actually adding the Lemans stripes to my vert. I can't believe they didn't offer them on verts.

 

Totally agree, I just ordered a Black GT500 and I deleted all stripes. Don't get me wrong, to each his own - I just don't like stickers; maybe if they were painted on it would be an easier sale.
