My 08 Shelby GT has developed an intermittent ping when shifting between 2nd and 3rd gears and winding it out to about 4 grand between shifts. I can not make it happen that often. It is not because I am shifting too soon and lugging the engine. It just turned 21,000 miles and started this about 500 miles ago. Someone told me they heard this may be a known issue with the 07/08 4.6 L 3 valve OHC engines. I'm going to take it to the dealer soon. Has anyone else experienced or heard of this?
