    I received an email from Mecum earlier today. You can click the link below to check out the ad. They are marketing the Allard J2 as "His Inspiration for the Cobra."

    Any thoughts???

    That's a bit "out there". From what I get, Carroll heard that A/C cars was losing thier engine supplier. He figured a Chevy small block would fit in there. Well, Chevy wouldn't supply the engine(s) or even give him one free one to see. Well, Fomoco did, and more history was written.

    I would have to say that I believe it, not on Body design, but rather the Inspiration to put an American V8 in a small Lightwaight Body like the A/C.
