I am hoping one of you can help me with some research on the 1965 GT-350 factory drag cars. I have some very basic info that I obtained from the old "Shelby American Guides" that SAAC published back in the 80's, but I am really needing some more detailed pictures of the engine compartments and interior. That may lead to some more questions, but for now I am just hoping for the pics.

And no, I am not building a clone.

Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

They also built four 1966 drag cars of which two still exist.6S011 and 6S021.

The 65s that still exist are 5S207,5S327 and 5S351. The best article I have found on what actually came on the drag cars was written by Bud Lang in the Car Craft July 1966 magazine , the article had pictures of all the modifications and interviews with Les Ritchey of Performance associates who modifed the GT 350s for Shelby and turned them into drag cars. To the best of my knowledge and SAACs the only drag car with the original lift bars that were welded on by Ritchey is 6S021.
