Boy...the "story" cars just keep comin' and comin' these days....

"This IS A GREAT..unmolested and very ...original car"

I guess everyone has their own definition of "unmolested"

'67 gurus....what do you say about this one?

Hmmm, "hand stamped" Shelby vin not listed for verification with Shelby registry. How about the Ford VIN with assembly plant and engine code not listed either.

Sent them an email for some more info and pictures - will wait for a response. Since it is an engraved car then we would expect that the number will be an early car.

All the PO alterations are typical and not a great surprise IMHO

This car looks like a tornado hit a 67 and a 68 and this is what is left.

I have been told the car is 67 #0003. That car was assigned to Ray Geddes. I think that is a good indication it may have been an engineering car. I am not sure who messed with it, but don't be so quick to rule out the fact, the factory might have messed with it. Those are vintage Paxton gauges made from unobtainium. :guitar:

The one part I was most curious about is the engraved Shelby VIN. So some of the early cars came this way?

Seems like if this is car #0003 they should have put that in the auction to make it seem more legit...
