I have a stock 428CJ. I installed a Holley 850 double pumper. I would like to put in a mild radical cam and performance intake manifold. I am not mechanically inclined. Is there a intake and cam that will fit without modifying anything else?

Actually the stock CJ cam and intake flow well. The C6OZ B is about 480 lift and 270/290 duration. The longer duration on the exhaust works well with the "exhaust challenged" FE motors. The intake flows well but being cast iron is an anchor. The early PI manifold is a lighter replacement. That 850 might be a little aggressive if you are not running headers/free flowing exhaust.

Remember everything has to work as a package. Mild and Radical are not the same. Decide how you are going to use the car before you do anything. There are many bolt on intakes and cams to choose from. 850 is to big for street use. Call Crane Cams and talk to a tech. guy and they will recommend a cam for you. You'll need to know what gear you have and the size of your tire in inches.

Bozzman, I have a comp cams .533 lift 280 deg duration cam in my SCJ w/ the factory carb and intake.
    Very happy with the results.
