I know this is an older thread, but was wondering what the differneces in bases are. 65-67. I am tryig to verify correct base for 67.

    roddster,
    I don't believe the Autolite Filter FA-41 is original for a 65-66
HiPo air cleaner. Mine says FoMoCo and came with a NOS
air cleaner I bought in a Ford box. Still has the original
Autolite Spark Plug decal which is straight and not curved.
Had no 289 High Perfomance decal in the box or on the lid though.
The FoMoCo filter fits exactly between the lid and base.

Chris,65 and 66 GT350 had a base that also had a large nipple for the hose coming off of the closed emission valve cover cap. The 67 GT350 if being sold in CA used the same valve cover cap and air cleaner base (along with thermactor). If the 67 GT350 is like the vast majority of other 67 GT350's built and was sold OUTSIDE of CA then it would get a open emission cap with no nipple and a air cleaner base that did not have a large nipple but a thin skinny one that was about 1/4 in diameter and capped with a rubber cap. The edge of the circular center disc, the lower corner around is the key. Even the really good repro is not as sharp as yours, which is legit.
