66 Hertz 4-speed on ebay--anyone familiar with this car?

Discussion in 'Shelby Mustang List' started by DLen1261@aol.com, Feb 21, 2006.

Anyone on the list familiar w/this car, or anyone in the Santa Barbara area
familiar with the dealer (& possibly even seen the car)?

I'm surprized that the seller failed to list the Shelby VIN....

No offense to the seller, but I'm also surprized by the requirement--

"To place a bid of US $15,000.00 or more, you'll need to provide a valid
credit card or complete the ID Verify process ($5)."

since, in today's world, the first thing THAT--on an internet
transaction--brings to mind is potential identity theft...

I doubt very seriously (I don't have the Registry here at work) that
a car witha serial number that late was an original 4 speed Hertz car.

Ad states "This car is as it came. " States car is #1392, only 31
    before mine (#1423).

Not with the non-stock steering, wheel, dual master reservoir, etc.

  6. Ahh..."more information"...well, being on a "copper wire" phone line
connection, I didn't even wait for all the little details to fill in while I was
looking at the ad, never mind chasing links. For me, at least, any seller that
fails to use the VIN space provided on the primary ebay page risks losing my
    attention, I guess.

  7. The font for the add seems screwed up also, not a lot of effort put into the add - pictures or description. Sorry, I would pass on this one without physically inspecting the car first. Just my 2 cents....
