66 Tach Again

    so i am using Pertronix on a 66 with the factory tach. As per instructions i am not using the resistor wire but have a wire coming from the ignition switch to the + side of the coil. Anyone know how to get the factory tach going again as it needs to run in series with the resistor wire.
